You made it! You made it through the chaotic and stormy waters of 2011 onto the shore of 2012. Make no mistake about it, this New Year is filled with prophetic promise and purpose for all of God’s people!

In scripture the number 11 represents “chaos, uncertainty, incompletion, chaotic change.” For many of us that is an accurate description of 2011. But the really good thing about 2012 is that in scripture the number 12 has an important meaning, “Completion That Unleashes Kingdom Power, Apostolic Order and Authority.”

This year promises to be unlike anything we’ve seen before! God’s kingdom is going to gloriously manifest itself in our lives and world in fulfillment of the promise of a great end-time outpouring of His Spirit and Glory!

The “chaotic changes” of 2011 have prepared us for the “Completion That Unleashing Kingdom Power” that begins in 2012. In 2012 God is moving mightily in the earth, fulfilling His promise and completing His unfinished business. In 2012 God is in control and is beautifully orchestrating His master plan among the nations and in His church and people!

In the parable of the ‘Prodigal Son,’ Jesus taught about what we’ve lost through the negative consequence of sin and then what was restored back to us through the compassion of our Father.  The young prodigal came home no longer feeling worthy to be called a son, but requested to be a servant (slave).  He had lost his IDENTITY through sin.  The first thing the Father did after running to kiss and embrace his returning son was to send for the BEST ROBE.  This is a beautiful picture of God giving us the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST when we come to Him in repentance.  He restores our IDENTITY by giving us A NEW NATURE and RELATIONSHIP with Him.  The very next thing the Father gave his son in this parable was the family RING.  The family RING was their SEAL OF LEGAL AUTHORITY IN ALL MATTERS.  God RESTORED OUR LOST AUTHORITY as His sons and daughters when we came home to Him in salvation.  It’s time for us to have a fuller understanding of the tremendous potential the authority we’ve been given has!  It’s time for us to USE THE AUTHORITY we’ve been entrusted with to build God’s glorious kingdom!

Throughout human history, mankind has asked what are considered the 5 great philosophical questions of life. They are: 1. Who am I? 2. Why am I here? 3. What should I have? 4. What should I do?   5. Where am I going? These legitimate questions represent the cry of the human spirit to know our creator and to understand His plan and purpose for our lives in His creation.

The greatest spiritual warfare you’ll ever face won’t be over your destiny. The real battle Satan will mount against you is over the DISCOVERY OF YOUR KINGDOM IDENTITY. Satan knows that if he can keep you blinded from who you are in Christ, your true eternal identity (as gloriously revealed in the scriptures), then he can limit or even destroy your destiny. Destiny is the reward for discovered identity. When you know WHO YOU ARE you know WHAT YOU CAN DO. Yes, the scriptures contain the revelation of WHO God is, but of equal significance, the promises of scripture are a mirror of perfect truth revealing who we are. It’s time to tear down every lie we’ve believed and built our lives on and receive the transforming promises of God’s word declaring who we are!
