Church For The Nations is connected with a wide variety of Christian ministries, churches and organizations. Here are a few of them.
Having grown up in the ministry as a PK (preacher’s kid), and from a background of Bible College, business, probation work, and various church offices including pastoring, Iverna founded and directed a center for mentoring ministers and their spouses. She has traveled throughout the world speaking in churches and at conferences and was co-founder of Women of the World Organization. She was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree from Sweetwater Bible College in 1989.
Iverna has written 13 books, 3 of which are still in print. IF IT PLEASE THE KING, THE RAVISHED HEART AND ADVANCING IN THE PROPHETIC. Iverna is an outstanding communicator who delivers the Word of God with powerful prophetic insight and humor. Many have said, “She performed major spiritual surgery while anesthetizing me with humor.” Her passion for the Word of God and His Church, combined with her ability to equip leaders, causes her hearers not only to be challenged but also changed.
She presently serves as Pastor Emeritus for Church for the Nations in Phoenix, Arizona.
BISHOP JOSEPH GARLINGTON
Bishop Joseph L. Garlington, Sr., PhD is the Senior Pastor of Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, a multiracial and cross-cultural community of more than two thousand members, which he founded with his wife, Barbara in 1971.
Bishop Garlington is an accomplished musician, and recording artist, author and scholar, whose work touches thousands through radio and TV, through his weekly television broadcast, Something Fresh, through national and international conferences, through albums, books and articles. He is internationally recognized in the religious community for his work and ministry in many churches in South Africa since 1979.
His preaching and teaching ministry, known for its humor and deep insight, has made him a popular speaker at many national conferences such as Promise Keepers, the international men’s movement, where he has regularly addressed tens of thousands of men. Bishop Garlington regularly consults for pastors, churches and organizations that are eager to develop similar models of racial reconciliation and healing.
PASTOR BILL JOHNSON
Bill and Beni Johnson are the Senior Pastors of Bethel Church. Bill is a fifth generation pastor with a rich heritage in the things of the Spirit. Together they serve a growing number of churches that have partnered for revival. This apostolic network has crossed denominational lines in building relationships that enable church leaders to walk in both purity and power.
The present move of God has brought Bill into a deeper understanding of the phrase, “on earth as it is in Heaven.” Heaven is the model for our life and ministry. Jesus lived with this principle by only doing what He saw His Father doing. Learning to recognize the Holy Spirit’s presence, and how to follow His lead will enable us to do the works of Christ, destroying the works of the devil. Healing and deliverance must become the common expression of this gospel of power once again.
There are praise & worship artists and then there is BJ Putnam. The quintessential artist, worship leader, songwriter, and producer who has been blessed with some very special gifts, which are showcased in his collection of songs. Besides his compelling voice and musical gifts the lyrical content truly bring the songs to life in a spiritual sense, uplifting and encouraging, while offering musical enjoyment.
With a passion for praise and a heart for true worship, BJ Putnam is quickly becoming a household name as one of Christian music’s more notable worship leaders. His performances are professional and his musical ability is showcased front and center, every Sunday, at Church for the Nations in Phoenix, AZ where he is the Worship Pastor under the leadership of Senior Pastor Michael Maiden Whether leading worship on TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network) or consistently appearing on AZTV, BJ continues to lead people into the presence of God. Working with worship leaders such as Ricardo Sanchez (Free Chapel, Gainesville, GA), and ministering in music for Pastor Jentezen Franklin of Free Chapel as well as “Campus Crusade for Christ”, when called upon, BJ has been able to step in to lead worship for his dear friend/mentor Grammy Award Winning Israel Houghton of Israel and New Breed.
